What is Your Mind?
Mind over porn. The “mind” is a product of how the brain is performing.
The mind can be thought of in a couple of different ways:
- First, think of the mind as the ego. It’s a two-sided mask. A way of shaping the personality to fit in, in the world, and feel safe.
- The mind can also be referred to as Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. One mask is put on when going into the world and a second mask is being used when alone.

How Does the Brain Control the Mind?
Overthinking is what creates high-beta energy in the brain. It’s what keeps the thoughts going and is what will ultimately drive you back into the screen.
These things happening, makes it difficult to tap into your true authentic self. The true authentic self is the accurate representation of who is actually inside a person. The true authentic self is a feeling, not a thinking being.
High beta speeds lead the brain to use extra slow delta and theta speeds which causes side effects such as:
- depression
- anxiety
- stress
- erectile dysfunction
- brain fog
- trouble concentration
- lack of motivation
- overthinking
How to Rewire the Brain
The goal of rewiring the brain is to get back into normal, medium-level brain speeds.
Achieving a healthy level of brain speed:
- Get a journal. Try writing down your thoughts and feelings for the day. Get in tune with your emotions. Write down your positive thoughts and tap into them. Write down your negative thoughts and reframe them into positive ones. The goal is, that when challenges arise, you are ready to face them and work through them without going to the screen to do so. This is a skill that refers to as meta. It’s thinking about thinking.
- Figure out how you feel and stop the overthinking. Give yourself the time and space to figure out how you feel.
- Communicate feelings and learn what is needed to move through challenging times.
