How Can You Know if You Have Adult ADHD?
It’s simple, you can a qEEG Brain Map performed. This advanced evaluation can show you how your brain is performing and if it is using the brain pattern for ADHD. However, let me explain what that brain pattern looks like. The brain pattern for ADHD is one of many. But in the case of ADHD, it is using excessive slow brain processing speed and that’s called Delta/Theta. Therefore, that means your brain is literally using the electrical energy of slowness. For example, slow-speed theta is 5 cycles per second very slow.
For perfect processing speed, it needs to go between 12 and 15 hertz. This is the speed used when you’re focused and not distracted. You produce your best work and can be better organized. So to know if you have ADHD when you have your qEEG brain map performed you can see it. It will show up as red, slow brain processing speed.
Watch the video I made for a quick explanation and keep reading below to learn more about the topic.
How Can You Heal That Brain pattern?
Neurofeedback brain training can take the brain pattern that you see on your qEEG brain map and that’s the one creating your issues. So when we speed the brain up just to have the perfect amount of processing speed by reducing the amount of theta production in your brain. Then your brain is able to process information in normal time. Allowing you to perform and focus better.
Adult-Onset ADHD
Adult-onset ADHD is NOT a thing. ADHD is by definition a neurodevelopmental disorder. Therefore, it’s the most common neurodevelopmental disorder and that means it occurs early in development. So I call it an organic brain pattern; people are born with a brain pattern that has too much slowing that creates the symptoms of ADHD. It occurs in the frontal lobe and affects attention, executive function, impulse control, and judgment.
There are multiple different types of ADHD that affect different areas of the brain, but the frontal is the most common. So that brain pattern has been there since you were born. Many adults don’t realize they have ADHD because they’ve been compensated since they were young.
